Course Publishing Checklist

Before you publish your course, make a point to check the following:

  • Ensure topics are present and accurate in all questions
  • Confirm content within Module Details
    • If desired and applicable, a survey and/or reference list is added
  • Ensure that shadow questions are no more than 30% of the questions and equivalent in learning goals
  • Confirm a variety of question types (-20% multi-correct and matching per module)
  • Confirm multimedia is present, inclusive (if appliable). and accessible throughout (alt- text added)
  • Review content to ensure items are high-quality and do not include:
    • Very long/short answer choices
    • Distractors that could be correct
    • Long explanations
    • Teaching within a question or answer
  • Conduct a final proof of course design
    • Are learning objectives met? Have training/knowledge gaps been addressed?
    • Confirm overall design goals are met in conjunction with any other learning modalities, if applicable
  • Conduct a final QA of all content to include checks for accessibility, conventions, and style

Once all stakeholders have approved, publish your course and begin the process of integration.
