Using the Question Page Icons

In this article, you'll learn how to navigate the Question Page icons.

Top Panel Icons

From the top panel, you can:

  • Use the Course Outline to navigate your course
  • Add a new question to your module
  • Navigate to the previous or next question in the module

Second Panel Icons

Using the navigation options on the left side of the page, you can:

  • Edit your question name
  • Change the question type
  • View, add and edit Tags
From the buttons on the right, you can:

Saving and Autosave

If your account has autosave enabled, you'll see the icon. However, you can still save your work by clicking the icon. Autosave saves the question once per minute, and both autosaved and manually saved versions of your work will be available to you in the Three-Dot Menu under History.

AI Assistant

When enabled, the Amplifire AI Assistant is available to help create and refine courses and multiple choice or multiple correct questions. The AI assistant is not current available to assist with matching questions.

From the Question Page, click the Create with AI or Refine with AI icon the second panel to expand the AI assistant.

Preview

The Preview button opens a screen with a view of how the learner will encounter the question.

Share the Preview Link

You can share a link to the question in the preview screen by clicking on the Copy Share Link button next to the Back to Editing button. The link will be copied to your clipboard.

Course Outline

Clicking the Course Outline icon will open the Course Outline panel on the right. The Course Outline panel enables you to view every module in the course and drill down to view every question in a module.

Comments

Click the speech bubble icon to reveal the comments pop-out menu.

Note: You can toggle between question fields and leave comments specific to those fields.

When a question has comments, the speech bubble will indicate the amount. The comments can be viewed in the pop-out menu by filtering between Unresolved, Resolved, and All. The panel enables you to:

  • See each comment, the author, and when it was entered.
  • Respond to comments.
  • Resolve comments.

Help

You can access the Help Panel by clicking the question-mark icon.

The Help Panel content is tailored to the question type (multiple choice, multiple correct, or matching). It provides general information about authoring with the question type and more detailed intelligence on specific topics, such as the AI Assistant, Question Intros and Stems, and Answer Choices.

Three-Dot Menu

From the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the question page, you can work with the following question elements:

Question Info

Click Info to open the Question Info panel and reveal more question details, such as:

  • The question author
  • Whether it's published
  • When it was last edited and by whom
  • The question ID
  • If another course is also using it

If the question is being used elsewhere, you'll see a link to the question in the other course.

History

The History option in the Three-Dot Menu shows all of the question's version history, such as when revisions were made and by whom and when it was published.

You can also dive deeper into the version history. Click the arrow next to a record to reveal how many versions were saved on a specific date with time stamps.

Click the box for more than one record to compare the different versions. When more than one time-stamped record is selected, the Compare Revisions button activates and you can see the different versions.

The Three-Dot Menu on the far right of each record enables you to preview, restore, or clone a question's prior version.

Push Changes to Learning

If this option is enabled in your account, you will have the option to make any changes you've made to a question live to learners right away.

Tags

Select the Tags option to quickly see available Learning Objectives, Topics, Common Mistakes, and other Labels. Tags that were created or are currently in use will automatically appear as options in the pop-out menu. Click any Tag, Topic, or Learning Objective to apply it to the current question. Click Create Course Tags to choose from your broader library or create a new Tag.

Note: Once you create a tag, you must select and add it to your question.
