Navigating the Question Page

From the question page, you can customize your content.

Top Panel Icons

From the top panel, you can:

  • Use the Course Outline to navigate your course.
  • Navigate to the previous or next question in the module
  • Add a new question to your module

Second Panel Icons

From the second panel, you can edit your question name, change the question type, and adjust the question layout using the navigation on the left side. You’ll also be able to see any tags that have been added to the question. From the buttons on the right, you can:

  • Save your work
  • Preview what your question will look like in learning
  • Share a preview link
  • Use the three-dot menu to view the question’s history and info, push your changes live to learners, and adding tags to your question. Note: Once you’ve created tags, you must select them to add them to your question.
  • Open the comments panel. Note: You can toggle between any of the fields in the question to leave comments specific to those fields.
  • Open the AI Assistant
  • Open the help panel

Saving and Autosave

If you have autosave enabled in your account, you'll see the icon. However, you can still save your work by clicking . Autosave will save your work once per minute, and both autosaved and manually saved versions of your work will be available to you in the three-dot menu under History.

Question-Level Three-Dot Menu

From the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the question page, you can work with the following question elements:

History

To see the version history of any question, click History to reveal the history menu. You can see the dates of different actions, like editing and publishing, and be able to tell which version of a question is currently published.

Click the dropdown carrot to reveal more details, like the names of editing authors and time stamps. At this level, click the three-dot button to reveal options: preview, restore, and clone.

Question Info

Click Info to reveal finer question details: confirm if the question is published, determine the creating author and last edit, and see where else the question is used, from other courses to modules. To jump to where else the question is used, click Open.

Tags

To quickly see available tags, add tags, or create tags, click Tags. Tags that are currently in use in the course or created with the course will appear as options automatically in the pop-out menu. Click any tag, topic, or learning objective to apply it to your question. Click Create Course Tags to choose from your broader tag library or create a new tag.

Push Changes to Learning

If this option is enabled in your account, you will have the option to make any changes you've made to a question live to learners right away rather than having to 

Comments Panel

Click the speech bubble icon to reveal the comments pop-out menu.

If and when there are comments, the speech bubble will indicate the number. The comments can be viewed in the pop-out menu. You'll see who commented what and when, and be able to reply to or resolve any comment.

AI Assistant

When creating questions, you have the option to use the AI assistant. From the question page, click the Wand Icon on the right side of the second panel to expand the AI assistant.

Toolbar

When you click into any field on the question page, an editing toolbar will appear. In addition to all of the standard icons such as bold, bullets, alignment, and font, this toolbar includes icons that will allow you to add:

  • Images
  • Tables
  • Equations and symbols
  • Video, audio, and text files
  • Dynamic content and iFrames

If you hover over any of the icons, you’ll see its label appear.
